Our Mission

Mission statement

We seek to foster a climate in which students, staff and parents experience a sense of caring and belonging. The school aims to provide, in partnership with parents, a safe, caring and stimulating environment where every child can achieve his/her full potential.
While St. Nicholas of Myra National School is a school with a Catholic ethos, providing religious education in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, we respect the diversity of cultures, religious beliefs and traditions of other groups in society and this respect permeates all areas of school life.
We aim to:
  • Provide a secure and caring environment for all of our students in which we provide a full and varied education which will develop each child to his/her full potential.
  • Promote the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the child: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and with other people.
  • Foster self-esteem and promote respect for self, others and our environment.
  • Maintain a vision of hope for the future.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents, parish and community.
